Tosefta sur Démaï 2:1
וְאֵלּוּ דְבָרִים מִתְעַשְּׂרִין דְּמַאי בְּכָל מָקוֹם. הַדְּבֵלָה, וְהַתְּמָרִים, וְהֶחָרוּבִים, הָאֹרֶז, וְהַכַּמּוֹן. הָאֹרֶז שֶׁבְּחוּצָה לָאָרֶץ, כָּל הַמִּשְׁתַּמֵּשׁ מִמֶּנּוּ פָּטוּר:
Et ce sont les choses à verser en tant que Demai [produit dont on ne sait pas si la dîme a déjà été prélevée] partout: les figues pressées, et les dattes, et les caroubes, le riz et le cumin. Le riz cultivé en dehors de la terre [d'Israël], quiconque l'utilise est exempté.
Tosefta Demai
Rice in its place (i.e., wherever it grows) is permitted [without tithing] in the harbor/suburb area (see Jastrow re חולת אנטכיא, following the GR"A) of Antioch. Rabbi Eliezer son of Rabbi Yosei says, "Rice in the harbor/suburb area of Antioch is permitted until Borek (=בורק, following the GR"A). (Cf. Dem. 2:1.)
