זָרַע אֶת אַחַת מֵהֶן, פָּטוּר, וְהַשְּׁנִיָּה, נוֹהֵג בָּהּ בִּתְרוּמָה, וְחַיֶּבֶת בְּחַלָּה, דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי מֵאִיר. וְרַבִּי יוֹסֵי פּוֹטֵר. זָרַע אַחֵר אֶת הַשְּׁנִיָּה, פָּטוּר. זָרַע אֶחָד אֶת שְׁתֵּיהֶן, בְּדָבָר שֶׁזַּרְעוֹ כָלֶה, מֻתָּר, וּבְדָבָר שֶׁאֵין זַרְעוֹ כָלֶה. אָסוּר:
Quem usou um desses [cestos] como semente, é isento, e o segundo é tratado como se fosse Terumah e requer Challah , as palavras do rabino Meir. Mas o rabino Yosi isenta. Se outra pessoa usa a segunda como semente, ela é isenta. Se um homem usa os dois como semente, se é do tipo cuja semente se desintegra [no solo], é permitido, mas se é do tipo cuja semente não se desintegra, é proibido.
Tosefta Demai
Planting untithed [seeds] is prohibited, as is covering up untithed [seeds with dirt], as well as making [a partnership] with a Gentile with [respect to planting] untithed [seeds]. A Jew who forgot and planted untithed [seeds], they are exempt before they sprout because [the seeds] have already perished (cf. Ter. 7:7). One who buys [produce] for livestock, for wild animals, and for fowl is exempt from Demai.
