תִּינוֹקוֹת שֶׁטָּמְנוּ תְאֵנִים לְשַׁבָּת, וְשָׁכְחוּ לְעַשְּׂרָן, לֹא יֹאכְלוּ לְמוֹצָאֵי שַׁבָּת עַד שֶׁיְּעַשְּׂרוּ. כַּלְכָּלַת שַׁבָּת, בֵּית שַׁמַּאי פּוֹטְרִין וּבֵית הִלֵּל מְחַיְּבִין. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר, אַף הַלּוֹקֵט אֶת הַכַּלְכָּלָה לִשְׁלֹחַ לַחֲבֵרוֹ, לֹא יֹאכַל עַד שֶׁיִּתְעַשֵּׂר:
As crianças que esconderam figos [no campo] para o Shabat e se esqueceram de dizimar os dízimos, não poderão ser comidas após o Shabat até que tenham sido dízimas. No caso de uma cesta [de frutas] para o Shabat: A Casa de Shammai a isenta [do dízimo], mas a Casa de Hillel exige [no dízimo]. O rabino Yehudah diz: mesmo quem recolheu a cesta para enviar [como presente] a seu amigo, não pode comer até que tenha o dízimo.
Mishnah Eduyot
One who takes a vow not to have intercourse with his wife: Beth Shammai says: [after] two weeks [he must divorce her and pay her kethubah], And Beth Hillel say: after one week. A woman has a miscarriage on the eve of the eighty first [day]: Beth Shammai exempt her from bringing the offering, And Beth Hillel do not exempt her. [With regards to the rules of] tzitzit (fringes) on linen sheet: Beth Shammai exempts, And Beth Hillel does not exempt. A basket of [fruit set aside for] the Sabbath: Beth Shammai exempts it [from tithes]. And Beth Hillel does not exempt it.
