שָׁלֹשׁ בְּסָסִיּוֹת הֵן. שֶׁלִּפְנֵי הַמִּטָּה וְשֶׁלִּפְנֵי סוֹפְרִים, טְמֵאָה מִדְרָס. וְשֶׁל דְּלֻפְקִי, טְמֵאָה טְמֵא מֵת. וְשֶׁל מִגְדָּל, טְהוֹרָה מִכְּלוּם:
Istnieją trzy rodzaje podstaw [tj. Małych stolików]: ta, która jest [używana jako podnóżek] przed łóżkiem lub przed uczonymi, jest podatna na zanieczyszczenia midras ; to, co jest stołem do serwowania [tj. zagnieżdżone pod nim, aby wydobywać pożywienie] jest podatne na zanieczyszczenie zwłok; a to, co jest [używane jako podstawa] wieży [tj. wysoka szafka przypominająca wieżę], jest czyste od wszelkich [rodzajów zanieczyszczeń].

There are three different types of bases:
One which lies before a bed or before a scribe is susceptible to midras uncleanness; The base which is put in front of a bed or in front of a scribe is sometimes sat upon. Therefore it is susceptible to midras impurity.
