חַטַּאת הָעוֹף כֵּיצַד הָיְתָה נַעֲשֵׂית. הָיָה מוֹלֵק אֶת רֹאשָׁהּ מִמּוּל עָרְפָּהּ וְאֵינוֹ מַבְדִּיל, וּמַזֶּה מִדָּמָהּ עַל קִיר הַמִּזְבֵּחַ. שְׁיָרֵי הַדָּם, הָיָה מִתְמַצֶּה עַל הַיְסוֹד. אֵין לַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֶלָּא דָמָהּ, וְכֻלָּהּ לַכֹּהֲנִים:

Come è stato eseguito il Chattat di un uccello? Lui [il prete] avrebbe trafitto la testa dietro al collo, ma non avrebbe separato [la testa dal suo corpo]. Spruzzava il suo sangue sulla parete dell'altare. Il resto del sangue fu drenato sulla base [dell'altare]. Nulla [è stato posto] sull'altare tranne il suo sangue, tutto [altro] è andato ai sacerdoti.
