כְּשֵׁם שֶׁאִם עָלוּ לֹא יֵרְדוּ, כָּךְ אִם יָרְדוּ לֹא יַעֲלוּ. וְכֻלָּן שֶׁעָלוּ חַיִּים לְרֹאשׁ הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, יֵרֵדוּ. עוֹלָה שֶׁעָלְתָה חַיָּה לְרֹאשׁ הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, תֵּרֵד. שְׁחָטָהּ בְּרֹאשׁ הַמִּזְבֵּחַ, יַפְשִׁיט וִינַתַּח בִּמְקוֹמָהּ:

Proprio come [gli oggetti che] salivano [all'altare] non scendevano, così anche se scendevano, non risalivano [di nuovo]. E tutti questi [che] salirono vivi fino alla cima dell'altare [devono] venire giù. Un Olah che salì in cima all'altare vivo deve scendere; [ma] se è stato massacrato in cima all'altare, è scuoiato e smembrato al suo posto.
