תַּנּוּר יָשָׁן בְּתוֹךְ הֶחָדָשׁ וּסְרֵידָה עַל פִּי הַיָּשָׁן, נִטַּל הַיָּשָׁן וּסְרֵידָה נוֹפֶלֶת, הַכֹּל טָמֵא. וְאִם לָאו, הַכֹּל טָהוֹר. חָדָשׁ בְּתוֹךְ הַיָּשָׁן וּסְרֵידָה עַל פִּי הַיָּשָׁן, אִם אֵין בֵּין חָדָשׁ לַסְּרֵידָה פוֹתֵחַ טֶפַח, כֹּל שֶׁבֶּחָדָשׁ טָהוֹר:
Si un horno viejo estaba dentro de uno nuevo, y la red estaba sobre la boca de la antigua [algunas versiones: nueva]: Si quitar el viejo haría que la red cayera, todo es impuro; pero si no, todo es puro. Si un nuevo horno estaba dentro de uno antiguo y redes era sobre la boca de la anterior: si no había un tefaj de espacio entre el nuevo horno y la red, todos los contenidos de la nueva son puros.
Mishnah Oholot
A board placed over the mouth of a new oven, overlapping it on all sides to the extent of a handbreadth, If there is uncleanness beneath [the board], vessels above it remain clean; If there is uncleanness above it, vessels beneath it remain clean. In the case of an old oven, they become unclean. Rabbi Yohanan ben Nuri declares them clean. [If the board] is placed over the mouth of two ovens, if there is uncleanness between them, they become unclean. Rabbi Yohanan ben Nuri declares them clean.
