בִּרְכוֹת כֹּהֵן גָּדוֹל כֵּיצַד. חַזַּן הַכְּנֶסֶת נוֹטֵל סֵפֶר תּוֹרָה וְנוֹתְנָהּ לְרֹאשׁ הַכְּנֶסֶת, וְרֹאשׁ הַכְּנֶסֶת נוֹתְנָהּ לַסְּגָן, וְהַסְּגָן נוֹתְנָהּ לְכֹהֵן גָּדוֹל, וְכֹהֵן גָּדוֹל עוֹמֵד וּמְקַבֵּל וְקוֹרֵא עוֹמֵד, וְקוֹרֵא אַחֲרֵי מוֹת (שם טז), וְאַךְ בֶּעָשׂוֹר (שם כג). וְגוֹלֵל אֶת הַתּוֹרָה וּמַנִּיחָהּ בְּחֵיקוֹ וְאוֹמֵר, יוֹתֵר מִמַּה שֶּׁקָּרִיתִי לִפְנֵיכֶם כָּתוּב כָּאן. וּבֶעָשׂוֹר שֶׁבְּחֻמַּשׁ הַפִּקּוּדִים (במדבר כט) קוֹרֵא עַל פֶּה, וּמְבָרֵךְ עָלֶיהָ שְׁמֹנֶה בְרָכוֹת, עַל הַתּוֹרָה, וְעַל הָעֲבוֹדָה, וְעַל הַהוֹדָיָה, וְעַל מְחִילַת הֶעָוֹן, וְעַל הַמִּקְדָּשׁ, וְעַל יִשְׂרָאֵל, וְעַל הַכֹּהֲנִים, וְעַל שְׁאָר הַתְּפִלָּה:

Der Segen des Hohepriesters: Wie so? Der Küster der Synagoge nimmt eine Thora-Schriftrolle und gibt sie an den Kopf der Synagoge weiter, der Kopf der Synagoge gibt sie an den Stellvertreter [des Hohepriesters] weiter, der Stellvertreter gibt sie an den Hohepriester weiter und der Hohepriester steht auf erhält [die Schriftrolle] und liest [die folgenden Teile]: „Nach dem Tod“ (3. Mose 16: 1-34) und „Aber am zehnten Tag“ (3. Mose 23: 26-32). Dann rollt er die Tora (Schriftrolle), legt sie in seine Brust und ruft aus: "Mehr als ich gelesen habe, bevor du hier geschrieben bist!" „Am zehnten Tag“ (Numeri 29: 7-11), der im Buch der Numeri steht, liest er auswendig. Und er segnet darauf acht Segnungen: "Für die Tora", "Für den Tempeldienst", "Für den Dank", "Für die Vergebung der Sünde", "Für den Tempel", "Für Israel", "Für die Priester". und "Für den Rest des Gebets."

On the first Yom Tov of Passover we read the section (Lev. 23) on "waving" that is in Torat Kohanim (i.e., Leviticus), and the remainder of all the days of Passover, we skip to other subjects [involving] Passover that are written in the Torah. On Shavuot [we read the section beginning with] "Seven weeks" (Deut. 16:9) and there are those that say [we read the passage beginning] "In the third month" (Ex. 19:1). On Rosh Hashanah [we read the passage beginning] "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the seventh month, on the first of the month, etc." (Lev. 23:24), and there are those that say [we read the passage beginning] "And the Lord remembered Sarah" (Gen. 21:1). On Yom Kippur we read "After the death" (Lev. 16:1), and we add "On the tenth" (Num. 28:12), which is in the Book of Numbers (see also Yoma 7:1). On the first Yom Tov of Sukkot (lit., "Festival") we read [the passage beginning] "Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Sukkot, etc." (Lev. 23:34), and on the second day [we begin with] "On the second day," on the third [we begin with] "On the third day," on the fourth [we bigin with] "And on the fourth], on the fifth [we begin with] "And on the fifth," on the sixth [we begin with] "And on the sixth," on the seventh [we begin with] "And on the seventh," and on the eighth [we begin with] "And on the eighth" (see Num. 29).
