קְדֵרָה שֶׁהִיא מְלֵאָה מַיִם וּנְתוּנָה לְתוֹךְ הַמִּקְוֶה וּפָשַׁט אַב הַטֻּמְאָה אֶת יָדוֹ לְתוֹכָהּ, טְמֵאָה. מַגַּע טֻמְאוֹת, טְהוֹרָה. וּשְׁאָר כָּל הַמַּשְׁקִין, טְמֵאִין, שֶׁאֵין הַמַּיִם מְטַהֲרִים אֶת שְׁאָר הַמַּשְׁקִין:
[Wenn] ein [Steingut] Topf, der mit Wasser gefüllt ist, in einen Mikwe gegeben wird und ein Av HaTumah seine Hand in ihn [den Topf] streckt , ist [der Topf] [dadurch] unrein. [Wenn] jemand , der Kontakt mit Verunreinigungen hatte [das heißt, er hatte eine Av HaTumah berührt ], ist [der Topf] [bleibt] rein. Und [wenn es] irgendeine andere Flüssigkeit [im Topf] wäre, [ wären ] sie unrein, weil das Wasser [der Mikwe ] andere Flüssigkeiten nicht reinigt.
Mishnah Kelim
Above the zav is the zavah, for she conveys impurity to the man who has intercourse with her. Above the zavah is the metzora, for he conveys impurity by entering into a house. Above the metzora is a [human] bone the size of a barley grain, for it conveys impurity for seven days. More strict than all these is a corpse, for it conveys impurity by ohel (tent) whereby all the others convey no impurity.
