רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אוֹמֵר, כָּל הַנִּשְׁלָקִים עִם הַתְּרָדִים, אֲסוּרִים, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהֵם נוֹתְנִין אֶת הַטָּעַם. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן אוֹמֵר, כְּרוּב שֶׁל שִׁקְיָא עִם כְּרוּב שֶׁל בַּעַל, אָסוּר, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהוּא בוֹלֵעַ. רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר, כָּל הַמִּתְבַּשְּׁלִין זֶה עִם זֶה, מֻתָּרִים, אֶלָּא עִם הַבָּשָׂר. רַבִּי יוֹחָנָן בֶּן נוּרִי אוֹמֵר, הַכָּבֵד אוֹסֶרֶת וְאֵינָהּ נֶאֱסֶרֶת, מִפְּנֵי שֶׁהִיא פוֹלֶטֶת וְאֵינָהּ בּוֹלָעַת:

Il rabbino Yosi dice: Tutte le verdure troppo cotte con barbabietole [ Terumah ] sono vietate, perché conferiscono un sapore. Il rabbino Shimon dice: il cavolo proveniente da un campo irrigato artificialmente con [ Terumah ] il cavolo proveniente da un campo irrigato dalla pioggia è proibito perché assorbe. Il rabbino Akiva dice: tutti gli [alimenti] che sono cucinati insieme sono ammessi, tranne [quando cotto] con carne. Il rabbino Yochanan ben Nuri dice: il fegato rende altre cose proibite, ma non diviene proibito, perché emette [sapore] ma non assorbe.

Tosefta Terumot

[With regard to ritually] clean eggs that one boiled with unclean eggs: If [the unclean eggs] are of sufficient quantity to impart taste [to the clean eggs], the [clean eggs] are forbidden, and if not, they are permitted. [With regard to] eggs that one boiled and found in one of them a baby chick: If [the egg with the chick] is able to impart taste [to the clean eggs], they are forbidden, and if not, they are permitted. Abortive eggs ("גיעולי ביצים", per Jastrow, alt., "scalded eggs [cooked with unclean eggs]," per Rashi, Hul. 64b:2) are permitted for eating. Spoiled eggs ("ביצים מוזרות," lit. "strange eggs," see Hul. 12:3): A hearty soul may eat them. [If] he found blood in one of them, he throws away the blood and eats the rest.
