שׁוֹפָר שֶׁנִּסְדַּק וְדִבְּקוֹ, פָּסוּל. דִּבֵּק שִׁבְרֵי שׁוֹפָרוֹת, פָּסוּל. נִקַּב וּסְתָמוֹ, אִם מְעַכֵּב אֶת הַתְּקִיעָה, פָּסוּל. וְאִם לָאו, כָּשֵׁר:

Jeśli szofar pękł i został sklejony ze sobą, jest pasul (nieodpowiedni), [będąc jak dwa shofroth. To, gdyby zostało podzielone na całej długości. Ale gdyby była podzielona na szerokość—jeśli z ust do miejsca rozłupania pozostało wystarczająco dużo (nienaruszony szofar) do dmuchania, jest to kaser; jeśli nie, to pasul. A ile kosztuje dmuchanie?
