הַחוֹר שֶׁבַּדֶּלֶת, שִׁעוּרוֹ מְלֹא אֶגְרוֹף, דִּבְרֵי רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא. רַבִּי טַרְפוֹן אוֹמֵר, בְּפוֹתֵחַ טֶפַח. שִׁיֵּר בָּהּ הֶחָרָשׁ מִלְּמַטָּן אוֹ מִלְמַעְלָן, הֱגִיפָהּ וְלֹא מֵרְקָהּ, אוֹ שֶׁפְּתָחַתּוּ הָרוּחַ, שִׁעוּרוֹ מְלֹא אֶגְרוֹף:

A hole in a door, its size is a fistful says Rabbi Akiva. Rabbi Tarfon says it is a handbreadth's space. If the carpenter left it on the bottom or on top, or if he closed it but did not finish it or if the wind opened it, its size is a fistful.
